Where To Stay?
In Morocco, it’s easy to find a place to stay that feels like something out of an “Arabian Nights” fantasy. You might find yourself sleeping one night in a feudal kasbah in the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, and the next night amid fountains and mosaics in a traditional riad in the Marrakesh medina. You can even camp under the stars on the dunes of the Sahara Desert.
Morocco also has its share of modern hotels, many located in the newer parts of major cities outside the medina walls. You’ll see familiar international brands in Morocco such as Sofitel, Four Seasons, Hyatt, Best Western and Ibis, but you may also want to check out locally owned chains such as Kenzi and Atlas, both offering mid-priced lodging in various locations across the country.
No matter what your budget is, you can count on Morocco Unlimited to find you the best places to rest each day. Call now for details.

What Is A Riad?
Morocco’s trendiest accommodation option is in a riad or maison d’hôte. The two terms are both used, to some extent interchangeably, for a residential house done up to rent out to tourists, but a riad is generally more stylish, while a maison d’hôte is likely to be more homely. In a riad, it is often possible to rent the whole house.
Most riads are eighteenth- or nineteenth-century Medina townhouses which have been bought and refurbished by Europeans or prosperous Moroccans. Most have roof terraces, some have plunge pools or jacuzzis, pretty much all offer en-suite rooms and breakfast is usually included in the room price. The best riads have a landlord or landlady who is constantly in attendance and stamps their own individual personality on the place.
If you want to experience true indulgence during your Morocco vacation, a riad is definitely the way to go. Call Morocco Unlimited Travel Designer & DMC today and let us arrange your lap of luxury.
